I visited several exhibitions this week and saw the use of different materials in different designs.

In this gallery, I am intrigued by the combination of materials and techniques in some of the works to express designs that are different from the character of the material itself. For example, the contrast between the use of metal to create a recessed feel, like a pillow, and the use of hard materials to create a soft texture is interesting to me.

At the same time, I was impressed by the use of a number of different materials in combination. The combination of different textures delivers a very strong visual effect.

Cardi Gallery Artist: Hidetoshi Nagasawa

Hidetoshi Nagasawa is a Japanese sculptor and architect whose work I saw in the cardi gallery called 'Pulverize - Bag', which connects a photograph and a jam bottle with a chain. I found this form of expression very interesting and the association of the photo and the bottle with the chain was like a kind of extension of the graphic to the 3D, making the whole work more three-dimensional.
