Making the Mould with Plaster 1

I would like to use a plaster mould to replicate the texture of the branch and make some ceramic vessels by casting. After asking James, I learned that the branch I had collected needed a four-piece mould to be made in order to get a complete closed wood branch mould.

Making Processes

The most difficult problem I encountered in making the first plaster mould was how to draw the centre line. As the natural wood branches are completely irregular in shape, it was very difficult to draw the centre line, using a ruler to draw dots at 1-5mm intervals to help draw the exact centre line.
