Making a Molds to Cut the Hollow Patterns

In the previous experiments I used paper molds to help with the carving, but as the clay has a moisture content, the paper molds would not last long. Therefore, I cut the pattern using laser cutting. I experimented with MDF and acrylic sheets to create the pattern and these came to be used as molds to help carve the pattern.

I also experimented with porcelain clay, which is more fragile than earthware clay, but its own colour is whiter, purer and more relevant to the nature of rainfall.
