Material Experiment of Light Effrects

Waste Glass / Mirror

Based on the variability and unpredictability of natural light, I found some waste glass bottles and glass, cracked them and put the pieces together by welding. By cracking the glass bottles to get random irregular pieces and then assembling them, the whole process from the collection of materials to the making process to getting the final object is uncontrollable, each shape is put together randomly and cannot be predicted or controlled. I found this very fitting for the unpredictable nature of natural light. And piecing together different coloured glass bottles also provides a more coloured light effect. Therefore, I decided to use waste glass to be the material of the hangong objects.
