Tony's Tour - Cambridge

Kettle’s Yard

“an art gallery or museum, nor … simply a collection of works of art reflecting my taste or the taste of a given period. It is, rather, a continuing way of life from these last fifty years, in which stray objects, stones, glass, pictures, sculpture, in light and in space, have been used to make manifest the underlying stability.”

My favourite part of the tour was the interior design of Kettle's Yard. The furniture, artwork and plants placed in the house all stay in their respective places, making the whole environment looks very harmonious.

The rotating glass, blending into the pile of plants, and the reflection of light make the whole space vibrant.

Wooden Sculpture

Some of the artwork and details, especially this switch, seem to allow a glimpse of the inner structure.

Some surprises during the tour - Microcosm
