Combine Mechanical Structure & Natural Texture

Most of the mechanical structure exists in the interior of the product, while reflecting its turnability, it also tends to make people feel that it is a precision instrument and dare not touch it. This made me start to think about how to improve the affinity of the mechanical structure.

My inspiration came from my passion for hiking, where I can see a lot of wooden stakes formed by natural factors, and their surfaces show different textures. These naturally formed textures are unique and aesthetically pleasing, and make people want to explore the reasons for their formation, but not feel a sense of distance. Therefore, I wanted to make the gears with different wood grains, decorate the mechanical structure with natural textures and colours, weaken the sense of distance of the mechanical structure, and make people more desire to touch it.
